Autumn image from 4freephotos.com

4freephotos.com is a public domain image library created by a group of photographers.

Its purpose is to offer an image library where you can download cool images for free.
You can use them for both personal and commercial purposes, as long as you respect the image license agreement (which by the way, is very indulgent).

The man behind this useful website is a colleague of mine that has a passion for photography and is also a good programmer.

Check out this amazing photo of an Amsterdam channel at night (long exposure):

How can I use the images?

4freephotos.com offers images as public domain. You can use them for free:

  • In digital format on websites, multimedia presentations, cell phones, broadcast video;
  • In corporate communication, business cards, letters;
  • In printed promotional materials, magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, flyers, CD/DVD covers, calendars, etc;
  • To decorate your office, home, or any other place.
  • On objects to be sold and bring income (e.g. t-shirts).

Another cool thing about this site is that it also has Spanish, French and Portuguese versions for those that feel more comfortable browsing in their own language.

So what do you think of this image library? Which free photos sites are you using for your projects? Please share in the comments :)
